Die Künstlerin stationiert eine Herde von Raumschiffen vor zertrümmerten Häusern in Gaza. Die Kapsel im Vordergrund ist vollständig geöffnet. Als eine Bombe detoniert, igelt sie sich ein und rauscht, wie die Raumschiffe vor ihr, zwischen den Trümmern davon. The Capsule stellt eine Vision des Lebens in Gaza vor, das völlig unabhängig von Land und Erde ist. Obschon die Künstlerin Rettung in der kühlen Technik sucht, berührt uns ihre Animation, weil sie unverdrossen das Recht auf Raum, das Recht auf das eigene Land einfordert.

The Capsule

In her finely executed animation film, The Capsule, the artist deploys a convoy of space capsules in front of demolished houses in Gaza. The capsule in the foreground is open. As a bomb explodes, the object curls up into a ball and rapidly rolls away from the ruins, like others in its vicinity. The Capsule envisions a possible life in Gaza separated from real land and soil. Although to seek help the film uses a somewhat clinical and  technological imagery, seeing the undaunted search for a place of one's own affects us.
